Transportation Services
Transportation Services
Transportation can be a barrier to medical care due to lack of access to a vehicle or financial concerns. For children who are living with serious illness, access to medical care is essential. Partnership for Children helps by providing safe, free, and reliable rides to medical appointments, as well as gas card subsidies to ease financial burdens. In Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties in California, the closest children’s hospitals are hours away at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco. Financial Support
Financial Support
When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, a family’s finances can be strained. Partnership for Children provides financial subsidies to help pay for basic living expenses such as rent or utilities. We coordinate with social workers at hospitals as well as community partners to determine family need, and the family of each qualifying child is eligible to receive up to $500 per year in assistance.
